Micron Technology CEO Steve Appleton Passes Away After Idaho Plane Crash

Micron Technology has confirmed that the CEO Steve Appleton has passed away after a “small plane accident” in Boise, Idaho. Micron, the large memory manufacturing company is based in Boise. Micron is best known for the Crucial and Lexar memory and storage brands. Appleton was age 51. Below is a statement from the company:

We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Appleton, Chairman and CEO, passed away this morning in a small plane accident in Boise. He was 51.

Our hearts go out to his wife, Dalynn, his children and his family during this tragic time.

Steve’s passion and energy left an indelible mark on Micron, the Idaho community and the technology industry at large.
