Microsoft Ad Starring Pete Rose and Rob Schneider Makes Fun Of Google Docs

Microsoft Corporation has released a new ad starring Rob Schneider that pokes fun at Google Docs.  The ad even features a cameo from notorious gambler / former Major League Baseball player Pete Rose.  The theme of the ad is that “Google Docs isn’t worth the gamble.”

“Converting Office files into Google Apps is a gamble. See what happens below when our friend is given the opportunity to take the gamble,” wrote Microsoft in a blog post.

Spoiler alert:

In the ad, Schneider is a game dealer that says “I have a beautifully-crafted presentation created with Microsoft Office.” He adds “I send it to you. And if you can open it, using Google Docs, without data loss and format discrepancy, then you sir, get to walk away with this shiny little keychain.” The man that was betting ends up losing and fainting.

Towards the end of the ad, Pete Rose says “That’s too big a gamble. Even for me.”
