Microsoft CEO Acknowledges They Built Too Many Surface RT Tablets

Microsoft chief executive officer Steve Ballmer (pictured above) has acknowledged that the company built way too many Surface RT tablets.  Microsoft lost over $900 million on the tablet.

During an internal Microsoft event that took place earlier this week, Ballmer reportedly said “We built a few more devices than we could sell.”

Based on the retail price and the amount that Microsoft lost, it amounts to about 6 million unsold Surface RT tablets.  Microsoft is currently working on the next generation of the Surface tablet and the internal responses have been positive, according to The Huffington Post.
