Microsoft Corporation has bought InRelease from InCycle. InRelease is a continuous delivery solution for .NET teams that automates the release process from Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS) up to production for faster and simpler deliveries. Based in Canada, InCycle is known for being a leader of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) consulting services for Microsoft .NET teams and a Microsoft Gold ALM partner.
Microsoft is acquiring just the InRelease business unit, but InCycle is going to run independently. Founded in 2002, InCycle merged with Sirk Technologies last year. Sirk is another Microsoft ALM company that has offices San Francisco and Seattle.
?DevOps is an increasingly important part of ALM and a growing area of interest to chief information officers as businesses are pressured to develop and deploy quality applications at an increasingly faster pace,? stated Microsoft corporate VP for their developer division S. Somasegar. ?The InRelease continuous delivery solution will automate the development-to-production release process from Visual Studio Team Foundation Server, helping enable faster and simpler delivery of applications.?
InCycle Software has been a Microsoft Gold partner since 2005.
