Microsoft has dropped the price of the Surface Pro tablets by $100. The discount has been applied to buyers that are living in the United States or Canada. The first generation Surface Pro fell to $699 and is expected to expire on December 31st.
The Surface Pro price dropped $100 this past August as well. Microsoft no longer lists the Surface Pro on the main Surface website so it seems like the company is trying to sell off the remaining inventory to make room for a new generation tablet.
Last month, Microsoft announced the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 in New York. The Surface 2 will retail for $899, but the Surface Pro 2 cost is not yet known.
