Things are looking good for Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) from the browser-front. Microsoft reported that 2 million people downloaded Internet Explorer 9 Beta in the first two days that it was available. When IE8 Beta was launched in August 2008, Microsoft recorded 1.3 million downloads in the first 5 days.

The IE9 download website saw about 9 million visitors and 26 million page views since it went live. “All in all, we are encouraged about the very early response to the IE9 release this past week,” stated IE 9 group product manager Roger Capriotti. Microsoft has about a 60.40% web browser market share according to data market research company Net Applications.
