Microsoft Launches Xbox Music Apps For Android and iOS

Posted Sep 9, 2013

Microsoft Corporation has launched a native Xbox Music app for iOS and Android.  The company has been planning on launching this app for about a year now.  The Xbox Music rivals against Apple iTunes, Spotify, and Pandora.  Xbox Music has about 30 million songs in their catalog.

The Xbox Music Android and iOS app is free for download.  A premium version of the service costs $10 per month.  Buying a year’s worth of premium service costs $100 so you can save $20 this way if you plan on staying with the service for the long-haul.  The monthly subscription will prevent ads from playing.

The Xbox Music Pass is also compatible with the Xbox game console and Windows 8 operating system.
