Microsoft Corporation has partnered with and invested in Mimvi Inc. Mimvi will develop products and services that complement Microsoft Windows Azure and the Windows Mobile 8 operating system. Microsoft is investing in Mimvi’s engineering services, software, and will give them cash. The financial details are unknown.

Mimvi is based in Sunnyvale, California. Mimvi is a search and recommendation technology company that uses algorithms to enable the search and discovery of mobile apps, mobile content, and mobile products across multiple platforms like the iPhone, iPad, Google Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Facebook, and web applications.
This deal reminds me of Apple’s acquisition of Chomp.
