Microsoft believes that Windows would run smoother and efficiently if their hardware partners did not place their “bloatware” software on top of Windows. Microsoft will now offer customers Windows PCs that are stripped of unnecessary software known as “crapware” from Windows for a price. For $99, Microsoft will remove the “crapware” and also include Microsoft Security Essentials, data transfer, and 90 days of phone support. This product is offered through Microsoft Stores and it is an expansion of Microsoft’s “Siganture” service. Microsoft’s hardware partners is one of the biggest reasons why the company became a software giant, but they are also the biggest reason why people are buying for Macs.
