Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) announced the Surface 2.0 multi-touch tabletop at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Today Microsoft said that the Surface 2.0 will cost $7,600. Microsoft Surface 2.0 will be shipping later in 2011 across 23 countries. Some of the committed customers for the new tabletop include Red Bull, Sheraton Hotels, Fuji Film, and Royal Bank of Canada. Windows 7 is the operating system and the product has the AMD Athlon II X2 Dual-Core Processor 2.9GHz with the AMD Radeon HD 6700M Series GPU featuring DirectX 11.
Other specs include a 4″ thin screen which includes the glass, PC, and enclosure. The screen is a 40″ full HD 1080p screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 1920×1080 resolution.
