The Microsoft Surface Pro is going to be arriving at Best Buy at midnight on February 8th. The Surface Pro’s launch will be part of a special event. Microsoft is holding a private reception before the special launch event at Best Buy in Union Square according to ZDNet.
Surface general manager Panos Panay will be attending the late-night launch along with several Windows team members. The tablet will go on sales across the U.S. and Canada in the following morning. The Pro version of the Surface will arrive in stores 4 months after the RT version went for sale. The Surface Pro has an Intel Core i5 processor and microSDXC card slot.
The Surface Pro retails for $899 (64GB) and $999 (128GB). The Touch Cover keyboard for the Surface Pro costs $120. On February 9th, Microsoft is selling the Surface Pro at Microsoft retail stores, Staples, and Best Buy. The Surface RT will be hitting stores in 13 additional markets in the next few weeks.
