At Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference, the company showed off “Windows 8 on a stick.” The USB stick can run Windows 8 on a PC even if it currently runs on Windows 7. Not only that, but it can allow users to bring their personal data with them. The portable version of Windows 8 is known as “Windows To Go.” A users’ apps and settings can be saved on a 32GB USB drive so that users can make any computer seem like their home computer. This makes it a great way for corporate users to easily access their work data on multiple PCs while still being able to use Windows 8. Windows is a bit of a clunky operating system, but you have to give Microsoft credit when it comes to innovation.
