Microsoft’s Customer Satisfaction Hits A New High On ASCI

According to a new set of numbers reported this morning by the American Customer Satisfaction Index, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) reached a new peak of 78 on the 100-point ASCI index. This is up from 69 in 2008. This is the third year in a row that Microsoft has gained points in the index. Microsoft dramatically dropped when Windows Vista debuted in January 2007.

Higher satisfaction does not necessarily mean that sales is booming. Microsoft Office’s revenue has increased, but the Microsoft Windows division fell 4% last quarter. Last year Apple reached a peak of 86 on the ASCI index.
