Minecraft Creator Markus Persson Cancels 0x10c

Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson has decided to cancel the development on the game 0x10c.  The 0x10c game is based on a universe that is close to extinction and it’s your job to save it.  Persson said that he ran into creative blocks and decided that the game did not feel that fun to play.  Some of the game’s fans has decided to pick up on the project themselves.  The project picked up by the fans is now called “Project Trillek.”

According to The Verge, the title 0x10c refers to a fictional coding error that caused people to fall into a cryogenic sleep for eons.  The game starts when the character wakes up and they use their spaceships to fight enemies.  0x10c has been worked on over the last year.
