Mozilla, the company known for building the Firefox browser, is building a browser for the Apple iPad called Junior. “Look at Safari on the iPad, it’s a pretty miserable experience, I think,” stated Alex Limi of Mozilla in a presentation. “It’s still the best browsing experience on the tablet out there, but it’s still kind of sucky.” Limi acknowledged that Mozilla does not have a presence on the iPad yet.
The Junior browser is a prototype right now and it will be simple. There will not be a toolbar at the top of the page and there will be two buttons off the sides. This way you will get a full screen layout, which will give the Internet a “magazine feel.” Check out the presentation below:
