MP3tunes is an online music storage startup company that was started by Michael Robertson. Robertson is also the founder of MP3.com. MP3tunes has recently announced that they are partnering with Logitech International SA (NASDAQ:LOGI).

Logitech Squeezebox Boom’s music player will be able to connect to MP3tunes to listen to MP3 files remotely. The Logitech Squeezebox Boom is a $299.99 30-watt amplified and speaker music player. The player also supports Pandora, Rhapsody, Sirius, Last.fm, Radio IO, RadioTime, Live365, and Slacker.

The player connects to these sites through a 802.11g wireless connection.

“When you own music, it should be forever, and you should be able to enjoy it wherever you go, which is why we developed the MP3tunes Music Locker to securely keep music in a cloud,” stated Michael Robertson, CEO of MP3tunes. “With the Squeezebox Boom, a truly snazzy audio device, all it takes is a common Internet connection and your Music Locker can go anywhere you go.”
