NBA player LeBron James is a celebrity spokesperson for Samsung that starred in several Galaxy device ads complained about his phone on Twitter this week. He complained that his Samsung phone deleted all of his data.
LeBron James has to carry around a Samsung Galaxy smartphone as part of the endorsement deal. The problem is that LeBron James complained to 12 million Twitter followers and Samsung paid him a large sum to endorse the brand. The tweet was deleted, but a screenshot was captured before it was taken down.
“My phone just erased everything it had in it and rebooted,” said James in the tweet. “One of the sickest feelings I’ve ever had in my life!!!” James realized his mistake of writing the tweet so he later wrote that the mistake was corrected.
“That sound you just heard was everyone at Samsung facepalming simultaneously.” said Twitter user @JenSized. @JenSized is credited with capturing the screenshot of James’ tweet. A Samsung engineer worked with LeBron to restore his device. Good thing his information was backed up.
