Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) has announced that it is bringing back the ’90s kids educational program The Magic School Bus. The TV show is based on the children’s series with the same name that ran from 1994 to 1997.
The show was about the adventures of Ms. Frizzle as they traveled to outer space, under the sea, and inside the human body. They were able to travel using a school bus that can transform into the shape or vehicle that was needed. The show will be known as: The Magic School Bus 360° and will use computer-generated animation with a modern version of Ms. Frizzle. Ms. Frizzle will also have a new and updated bus.
?Magic School Bus, the old version, is remarkably popular on Netflix,? said Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos in an interview with The New York Times. ?It teaches science in a way that transcends generations.?
The ’90s are making a comeback! Reading Rainbow received millions of funding through Kickstarter. And Boy Meets World has a follow-up on the Disney Channel called Girl Meets World.
