Netflix Starts Rolling Out Individual Profiles For Shared Accounts

Netflix has launched individual user “Profiles” today for people that share their account.  This feature lets each user in a family that shares the same account to have their own profiles.  This way your kids’ preferences to watch Scooby Doo cartoons will no longer show up in mom or dad’s feed.  Personalized recommendations will show up for each user’s personal profile.  Each account can have up to five profiles at no extra monthly cost.

?Now everyone in your home can have their own Netflix experience, built around the TV shows and movies they enjoy. No longer will your Netflix suggestions be mixed up with those of your kids, a significant other, roommates, or house guests,? stated Netflix Chief Product Officer Neil Hunt.

Each profile can have a separate Facebook account linked to them.  The feature will be introduced starting today to all areas where Netflix is available.  Netflix customers will receive the new feature within the next two weeks.
