Last summer, News Corp unveiled its new education division called Amplify. Today, Amplify introduced a $299 Android powered tablet designed for K-12 students. The division, which is headed by former New York City schools chief Joel Klein, hopes to revolutionize classroom learning.
The Amplify tablet comes preloaded with educational content. Each tablet requires a $99 annual content subscription. A higher-end tablet, the Amplify Plus, is also available for $349. The Plus tablet requires a $179 annual subscription and includes access to AT&T’s 4G LTE network.
The device is available now.
