NewSchools raises $12 million for seed fund

NewSchools has received $12 million their new seed fund. The new seed fund will invest in educational technology companies. NewSchools is based in Oakland, California with offices in Boston and Washington D.C. The firm focuses on public education for underserved students.

Seed Fund has invested in more than 22 ventures and led 17 seed rounds of financing and co-investing along with other firms like Kapor Capital, Rethink Education, Relay Ventures and Accel Partners.
