NewsCred raises $25 million

NewsCred is a startup that helps license articles from major publications and draws upon a network of freelance writers that has raised $25 million in funding. This round of funding was led by InterWest Partners. NewsCred is valued at between $100 and $200 million.

NewsCred uses software to help companies find articles for companies that would help their marketing. NewsCred has a licensing deal with The New York Times. NewsCred also has a network of freelancers that are paid to write articles that supports the point-of-view for a company.

NewsCred’s revenue grew around fivefold last year. Some of their clients include P&A, BofA, and Sprint.
