Nintendo Dropping The Price Of The Wii To $129 For The Holiday Season

Posted Oct 15, 2012

Nintendo has dropped the price of the Wii console to $129.99 in order to drive sales for the holiday season.  The new retail price includes a black console with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort on one disc.  It also includes a black Wii remote and Nunchuk remote.  This pack replaces the current $149 version which includes the New Super Mario Bros.

The lower cost Wii will be available starting October 28th on Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, and Gamestop.

Nintendo fans can also look forward to the Nintendo Wii U arriving on November 18th.

?Nearly six years after it launched, people are still attracted to the pure, inclusive fun of the Wii console,? stated Nintendo of America EVP of Sales and Marketing Scott Moffitt. ?A new suggested retail price and the inclusion of two great games make it an easy choice for families looking for a great value this holiday season.?
