Today the Nintendo Wii U went for sale in the United States and it has been selling like hotcakes. The Wii U has already sold out and people are profiting on them from eBay. The price starts at retail stores are $300 and some have been posted with a starting price of $500 on eBay. Nintendo is expecting to sell at least 3.5 million Wii U consoles by the end of December.
The original Wii hit 5.84 million console sales in the first 4 months after being released in November 2006. The Wii U GamePad controller lets players wirelessly connect to the console so that characters can jump between the device and TV.
