Nissan has sold the 100,000 all-electric Nissan LEAF vehicle. The customer of this vehicle was a dentist in the United Kingdom. The Nissan LEAF has created the world’s first mass-produced zero emissions vehicle and is the best selling EV in history with a 45% market share. Nissan created a special LEAF vehicle with 50,000 2p coins and 50,000 two cent Euro coins fastened to a LEAF as part of the milestone celebration.

“I have chosen my Nissan LEAF because I am very interested in its running costs,? Dr. Garner said. ?The cost of ownership such as maintenance, insurance and charging also convinced my wife.  She had the experience of driving 500 miles in a borrowed LEAF and the low cost was remarkable. So she was converted and insisted that we had a LEAF,” stated 100,000th LEAF customer Dr. Brett Garner.

Nissan launched the LEAF in December 2010. The LEAF is now being sold in 35 countries in four continents. The Nissan LEAF hit the top of the sales charts in Norway.
