The Windows Phone-powered Nokia Lumia 928 has been confirmed as it was outed in an ad placed in the recent issue of Vanity Fair. Although details about the phone are vague, we know that the Lumia 928 is coming to Verizon. Nokia is promoting the Nokia PureView camera technology, the Carl Zeiss optics, and the device’s ability to capture images in “low light” within the ad. There are rumors floating around that the Lumia 928 will have a full-metal body, a 4.5-inch touchscreen, and an 8-megapixel camera.
Nokia created a website for the new phone, but it simply says “Stay tuned for updates about the newest Nokia Lumia.”
The Nokia Lumia 928 is expected to be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, the Nokia Lumia 920. There are some reports that the Lumia 928 will be 10.2mm thin. Other rumored specs is that the display will have a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 2,000mAh battery. It is also rumored that the device will be available in white, black, red, and cyan colors.
On May 14, Nokia is hosting a launch event in London where they will focus on “the next chapter of the Lumia story.” This seems like the perfect platform to announce the Lumia 928.
