Nokia Corporation has released a mobile application for YouTube for Windows Phone devices.  Microsoft and Google had a volatile relationship in terms of the release of a YouTube application.  Since YouTube did not create a native Windows Phone application, Microsoft created one.  Microsoft’s YouTube app allowed users to download videos from the website.  So Google sent them a take down notice.  Google did not stop YouTube from creating a new YouTube Upload application though.

The YouTube Upload app for Windows Phone lets you upload videos taken from Lumia devices to  You can select a video file from the device or the Nokia Video Trimmer app.  The app appears to be compatible with the Lumia 1020 and other Nokia devices that have been updated to Windows Phone 8.
