Nokia and Microsoft have announced at a press conference in New York that they have sold 7 million devices so far in the Lumia series of devices. These sales are based on 54 markets across 130 operators. However the company has sold around 600,000 Lumia handsets total in the U.S. in Q2. Nokia sold 4 million Lumia devices in Q2 and around 2 million across the previous two quarters. There are around 100,000 applications available on the platform as of right now and four out of five cars that have navigation systems are using Nokia mapping on them said Nokia CEO Stephen Elop.
