Not On Our Watch, Google, Harvard, and The U.N. Watching Sudan For War Crimes Using Satellites

The United Nations, Harvard University, Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG), and Not On Our Watch is watching Sudan using satellites for war crimes. Known as The Satellite Sentinel Project, the collaborations between these organizations will provide an “early warning system” for human rights and security violations.

Not On Our Watch is an organization that was co-founded by Hollywood actors George Clooney, Brad Pitt, David Pressman Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle. Producer Jerry Weintraub is also a co-founder of Not On Our Watch.

“We want to let potential perpetrators of genocide and other war crimes know that we’re watching, the world is watching,” said Clooney. Clooney said that he came up with the idea for Not On Our Watch three months ago when he was met refugees in Sudan.
