OfficeMax Partners With GoDaddy To Sell Domain Names In Retail Stores

Posted Jan 18, 2013

OfficeMax and GoDaddy are partnering to help small and medium sized businesses get started on the Internet.  OfficeMax will be selling “GoDaddy website bundles” including domain names, website design, and SEO.

The prices range from $12.99 for a domain name to $249.99 for a package that will include 10 e-mail addresses, 1 domain name, 999 pages, a premium website builder, search engine visibility, online storage, and a premium shopping cart.  The prices will be changed every year.

This is the first time that GoDaddy will offer a service through a brick-and-mortar retailer.  OfficeMax will be offering the GoDaddy services in over 900 stores in the U.S. and Mexico.  GoDaddy will not be offering the service through OfficeMax’s website since this would compete directly against GoDaddy’s website itself.  GoDaddy has around 11 million customers worldwide and 70% of them are small businesses.
