Rocket Lawyer is an online legal services company that has raised $15 million in funding from a strategic investor.  The company previously raised $40 million in funding from August Capital, Google Ventures, and Investor Growth Capital (IGC).

Rocket Lawyer helps users create legal documents and find lawyers.  The company is growing revenue by $20 million per year according to TechCrunch.

Rocket Lawyer was sued by LegalZoom last year over false and misleading ads, trademark infringement, and unfair competition.  Rocket Lawyer countersued LegalZoom and some of the charges were dropped as a result.  Rocket Lawyer plans to expand beyond documents as they acquired legal Q&A company, LawPivot in January 2013.
