Online Stores In China Remove iPad Due To Proview’s Trademark

Apple is currently battling a company in China called Proview about the trademark “iPad.” Apple released a statement in the China Daily about Proview’s allegations on Apple allegedly breaking the use of the trademark “iPad.” Below is the statement:

?We bought Proview?s worldwide rights to the iPad trademark in 10 different countries several years ago. Proview refuses to honor their agreement with Apple, and a Hong Kong court has sided with Apple in this matter,? according to the statement, which also said the case is still pending on the Chinese mainland.?

The Mainland Chinese government is often criticized for favoring local companies so it may be difficult for Apple to get through this issue. Proview has tried to block iPads from coming in or going out of China earlier this week.
