Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) has acquired an Indianapolis-based online marketing firm called Compendium. The financial details were undisclosed. Oracle was impressed with Compendium’s ability to allow companies plan, publish, and performance monitor content.
Oracle said that Compendium’s innovative solutions will complement Oracle’s Eloqua Marketing Cloud services under the Customer Experience solutions.
“Oracle Eloqua Marketing Cloud is uniquely positioned to capture a prospect’s digital body language to help companies know each buyer’s demographics, behaviors and influencers,” stated Compendium CEO Chris Baggott. “By combining this buyer profile with Compendium’s data-driven content marketing platform, marketers will be able to deliver the right content, to the right individual across the right channel at the right time. We are very excited to now be a part of the industry’s most complete marketing cloud solution, giving us a global stage to deliver innovative content marketing solutions.”
Baggott is also known for being a co-founder in ExactTarget. ExactTarget was acquired by Salesforce.come earlier this year for $2.5 billion. Baggott is clearly on a roll here. Right before the acquisition took place, ExactTarget was also named as a customer of Compendium, but that is no longer the case.
