WATCH: Samuel Williams Shoots Suspects Trying To Rob Internet Cafe

Police in central Florida have reported that two men tried to rob an Internet cafe, but then a 71-year-old patron started shooting with his own gun to protect the venue. The suspects were wounded as a result. You can see the surveillance footage below of the two masked men entering the Palms Internet Cafe around 10PM on Friday.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at customers and the other one swung around a baseball bat. Samuel Williams pulled out his own handgun and kept firing at the suspects as they ran off and fell over each other as they ran for the door.  Duwayne Henderson and Davis Dawkins, both 19 years old, were arrested and faced attempted robbery with a firearm and criminal mischief charges.

The two were transported to Shands at the University of Florida-Gainesville. Dawkins got a superficial wound in his left arm and Henderson was shot on his left button and right hip. Both had posted bail and were released.

Williams had a concealed weapons permit and the Marion County State Attorney’s Office’s Bill Gladson said that his shooting appears justified. Neither of the men have a criminal record.
