Pandora Media Inc (NYSE:P) has announced that there will be some changes in its executive team today. Pandora chief technical officer and EVP of product Tom Conrad will be stepping down later this year.
Conrad joined Pandora in 2004, which is before the company started an online radio service that learns from a user’s listening behavior to choose the songs to play on custom stations. Conrad will work full-time for three more months and then transition into a part-time role as an advisor.
Pandora is going to promote Chris Martin from VP of engineering to CTO and promote Steve Ginsberg to CIO. Pandora has also created a chief product officer role that has not been filled yet.
?I?m excited to promote two top technology leaders to these important positions. Both have established impressive track records leading Pandora?s strong team of technologists,? stated Pandora CEO Brian McAndrews. ?It?s great to have the bench strength to promote internally, which provides new opportunities for proven leaders and maintains the continuity of business priorities.?
