Pandora has updated their mobile app to version 4.0 on Android and iOS. Version 4.0 of the app is the biggest redesign since the launch of Pandora on both of the two major smartphone platforms. Version 4.0 has social sharing capabilities and a uniform interface to both Android and iOS for the first time.
The company also announced that they have a leadership role in the mobile advertising market second only to Google in U.S. revenue for mobile advertising. Artist pages were modified to make it easier for listeners to explore and learn more about the artist, album, track, and station.
Artist pages have improved biographies, discographies, and genome traits of the tracks. Lyrics are also integrated into the song. There is a music feed with a place for listeners to find and follow their friends to see what stations and songs they are liking.
