Piazza is a social learning company that has received $8 million in funding led by Khosla Ventures. Bessemer Venture Partners also participated in this round. Khosla general partner Keith Rabois is joining the Piazza board of directors. This round of funding will be used for R&D and marketing.

Piazza has announced a new recruiting platform that aims to change how college students and employers connect called Piazza Careers. Some of the companies that use the platform to develop relationships with college students include Palantir, SpaceX, and Yelp.

“I’ve always believed that students and instructors deserve a world-class social learning experience, and that it needs to be free,” stated Pooja Sankar, CEO and founder of Piazza. “I’m delighted that companies seeking to hire new graduates recognize the value that Piazza provides and are eager to participate in ways that enhance its role in students’ lives while protecting their privacy. Piazza Careers is a boon to students, instructors, universities, and companies.”
