Pinterest is now open for all and has recently announced an event in the company’s new San Francisco headquarters the availability of an Android app and an iPad app. “Our goal has never been to get you in front of the computer transfixed for hours and hours on end,” stated Pinterest co-founder Ben Silbermann at the event according to AllThingsD, “it’s to get you offline.” The new app features the ability to pin things with the camera of the device.
The Android app was built specifically for the Android rather than using an iPhone template. The iPad app was also built specifically for that device, but with a Pinterest-specific browser which has a pop-up display of what people from around the web are pinning. Pinterest has revamped their iPhone app as well.
