Pinterest, one of the fastest growing social networks, has launched a new feature. Users will start receiving an e-mail notification if one of the products that they have “pinned” has dropped in price. Pinterest launched product pins in May.
The e-mail provides users with information about pricing and availability. Pinterest has not added any customization options yet so users cannot track specific pins or boards. Currently it is based on an opt-in or opt-out model.
?You don?t have to do anything to get notified,? stated Pinterest software engineering intern Jeffrey Warren. ?Just keep pinning the things you?re into, and leave the price watching to us. We?ll try to keep your inbox clutter-free by grouping these notifications into a single email, but you can always adjust your settings if you need to.?
