Pinterest has acquired a coding challenge website called Hackermeter and the website is now being shut down. Hackermeter started only two months ago.
Hackermeter assigned scores to users based on how good of a programmer they are. Potential employers would be able to playback your code keystroke-by-keystroke using the website and can create challenges of their own.
Hackermeter did not raise much in funding and they graduated from the Y Combinator Winter 2013 class. Hackermeter was in the process of raising $750,000 before getting acquired. Hackermeter co-founders Lucas Baker and Frost Li will become engineers at Pinterest.
