Plex app gets automatic camera upload support

Posted Mar 14, 2014

Plex is a service that lets you organize all of your personal media so that you can enjoy it while on the go using mobile devices. The Plex app has received an update to support automatic camera upload and free Chromecast usage. Plex has also received play queues and shuffle support.

When Plex first received Chromecast support, it was available through the Plex Pass subscription service at first. Now it is available as a free-for-everyone feature. The Plex Chromecast support has been expanded to cast music, photos, and videos. The camera upload feature requires a Plex Pass subscription.

The Plex Pass subscription costs $3.99 per month, $29.99 per year, or $74.99 for a lifetime. Plex Pass supports Plex Sync for offline media viewing and Cloud Sync for syncing media to cloud storage.
