President Obama Compares Online Healthcare Exchange Downtime To iOS 7

Posted Oct 1, 2013

The online healthcare exchange on experienced massive downtime today due to server issues.  The new online healthcare exchanged launched at 12AM this morning so that Americans can look for affordable health plans.

Due to budget disagreements, the government shut-down today and over 800,000 federal employees have been furloughed.  NASA employees are seeing around 97% of their staff on unpaid leave.  Unfortunately, the healthcare exchange could experience a malfunction for up to a month.  The GTA 5 Online multiplayer network also suffered downtime due to heavy traffic.

President Obama has compared the downtime of the online healthcare exchange to Apple’s launch of iOS 7.

“Consider that just a couple of weeks ago, Apple rolled out a new mobile operating system, and within days, they found a glitch, so they fixed it. I don’t remember anybody suggesting Apple should stop selling iPhones or iPads or threatening to shut down the company if they didn’t. That’s not how we do things in America. We don’t actively root for failure. We get to work, we make things happen, we make them better, we keep going,” stated President Obama today.
