Posted Mar 19, 2014

Project Spark has entered open beta on the Xbox One. This means that Xbox One owners can join the existing community of Project Spark players and creators without needing a beta code. People that are interested in participating can install the game from the Xbox One store.

The game will launch once the installation process is complete. You can find “Project Spark” by searching for it on the Xbox One and installing the game. Project Spark players can select to use the Xbox One Kinect voice capabilities and Microsoft SmartGlass to set up commands.

Project Spark users can also set up behaviors of in-game objects and different types of terrain, including rivers, grasslands, mountains, and waterfalls. So far, beta users have created games around strategy, board gamers, action, and adventure.

Project Spark was announced for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows 8 during E3 2013. Project Spark is expected to be launched in full later this year. Project Spark will require an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
