Publishing software company Quark has been acquired by LA merger and acquisition company Platinum Equity. The acquisition includes the company and all of the Ebrahimi family’s shares, which the family purchased from founder Tim Gill in 2000. MacWorld reports that the acquisition will help the company to develop, as Quark’s CEO and President Raymond Schiavone explains that they “sought to find a partner that old help us execute our strategy” and that “this gives us some capabilities we didn’t have with the prior ownership.”
