Q&A website Quora has hired Sandra Liu Huang, a product executive at Facebook. She will be the lead of product development at Quora. Huang previously worked on the Instant Personalization program where TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Pandora integrated Facebook into their services.
Huang has closely worked with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to lay out the 2011 company plan. She joined Facebook three years ago. Before coming to Facebook, Huang had worked at Google as a product manager for Checkout, AdWords, and AdSense.
A rumor in Silicon Valley is that Facebook is making some extra effort to prevent people to going to Quora. This is because Quora co-founder Adam D’Angelo grew up with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Adam and Mark went to Exeter high school together and they both built their first web application together. Adam was also instrumental in building Facebook while the two were at Harvard.
