RealNetworks, Inc. (NASDAQ:RNWK) has announced a new software called Rinse. Rinse software takes your iTunes music collection and cleans it up. It cleans up song duplicates, fixes misspellings, and adds missing album art.
“An individual’s music library is a very personal investment,” stated RealNetworks’ VP of product marketing for emerging products Peter Kellogg-Smith. “Rinse was designed to enhance this investment ? and then to get out of the way.”
RealNetworks uses Gracenote’s music recognition and identification technology to power Rinse. The Gracenote Global Media Database has about 8 million albums and 100 million tracks. You can download Rinse for $39 from http://www.rinsemymusic.com.
