Lastline is a company that helps protect businesses from malware. Lastline has raised a $10 million funding round led by Redpoint Ventures and e.ventures. The company will be using the funding to focus on their sales strategy and to develop additional malware and threat detection technology. Lastline’s service helps organizations protect themselves from targeted attacks and zero-day threats in real-time.
Redpoint Ventures partner John Welecka is joining the Lastline board of directors. “This round of funding and the addition of John to our board of directors will further propel our business to new levels as we continue to focus on our products in the channel and continue our research to develop even more solutions to help organizations protect their networks from rapidly evolving threats,” stated Lastline CEO Jens Andreassen.
Lastline acknowledges that hackers are getting more sophisticated by the day. Hackers are learning how to bypass malware analysis systems. Lastline’s “correlation engine” makes it possible to avoid such threats.
