Apple’s suppliers in Asia are reporting that they have received orders to make over 10 million of the rumored iPad Mini devices, which should be arriving in Q4 of this year. This order number is around twice what Amazon ordered for the Kindle Fire in the same quarter.
Apple’s supply chain is struggling to produce the tablet because of the complex design of the device according to Topeka Capital analyst Brian White. Apple is expected to sell around 5-7 million units of the tablet in Q4 though.
The Apple iPad Mini device will feature a 7.85-inch display and will sell for a much lower price than the current generation of the iPad.
