Report: Google Inc (GOOG) Buys $235M Worth Of Office Space In Mountain View

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) has bought 400,000 square feet of office space in Mountain View, California, according to Silicon Valley Business Journal.  Symantec, the popular software security firm, is currently leasing two of the buildings that Google recently bought.

Google will be the landlord for those buildings until Symantec’s lease expires.

As of the start of the year, Google owned around 3.5 million square feet of office and building space and renting 3.8 million square feet.

Back in 2006, Google acquired the land that their current headquarters are based in for $319 million, which is roughly 978,000 sq. ft. of land in Mountain View.
