Microsoft Corporation
chief executive officer Steve Ballmer is expected to make several management changes at the company.  Rumor has it that Skype president Tony Bates will be responsible for acquisitions and relationships with software developers.  It is also rumored that Windows chief Julie Larson-Green will oversee hardware engineering as a whole for the company.

Xbox head Don Mattrick was expected to become the hardware lead until he quit to become CEO of Zynga.  As the hardware head, Larson-Green would oversee the development of the Xbox gaming console and the Surface tablets.  Windows Phone software chief Terry Myerson may be given the responsibility of the Windows operating system.

The current head of Microsoft’s server division, Satya Nadella, would be given the responsibility of the cloud computing division.  Qi Lu will run an applications and services division, which includes the Bing search engine, Office’s online initiatives, and Skype.
